Please Help!

Just started new 90 gal fish only tank with, 30 gal sump and 10 gal seperate refugium. Trying to decide what type of media I should use.
Dont mind buying whatever.
Looked at BRS for reactors and media and I'm ready to order but...it all looks good to me.
Dont want Algae and want clear water.

Should I run Active Carbon, GFO or Bio-Pellets?
One, two or all three??

Carbon and GFO are tried and true methods. Run them in seperate reactors for best results. I and a few others here are running BP's with great results so far. So you could do one carbon reactor with a bio pellet reactor. Heres a great link for your reading pleasure.

+1. I use activated carbon myself and I really want to run BP!

 

See quite a few sps tanks start to go majorly downhill on biopellets, so ime i wouldnt recommend that, however many people have claimed success with them. My reef is thriving on carbon and BRS ferric oxide, separate reactors. So +1 for that!
