I just set up my 37 gallon column tank with a 10 gallon sump. I have a RIO 2100 pushing about 450 gph and a koralia pushing supposively 750 gph. The problem is I have debrit sitting at the bottom of my tank.. Looks like salt to me, it starts to clear up so I change powerhead flow and I'm back to square one, cloudy as heck.. I was thinking about sucking out the debri on the bottom, and replacing it with another 5 gallon I've mixed up.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

It mite be sand. If not you should either change salt or mix it in a bucket next time with a power head in it.

But if he can see debris on the bottom of the tank, wouldn't that indicate it was void of sand? Or am I missing something?
