    I am a newbie to this, I have had my tank up and running now for about 6 months, in the last few days I have noticed these little things popping up all over my live rock, will someone please identify them and tell me if they are good or bad and exactly what they are, thanks, Joel

    Look like brown button polyps. Congrats....you got some "free" corals :)

    Joel,

    Welcome!  Looks like a a type of polyp which is a soft coral.  They are not harmful to your tank.  Could be a Palythoa or Zoanthid species.
