Please help me ID anemone

    well, that deffinately does not close up like ive seen them(aptasia) do, im stumped...:confused:

    From the first picture it looks like a Rock Anemone, which is viewed a long the lines of aphasia in many peoples eyes. If that is in fact what it is my lfs has some in one of his tanks and he sells them for like $10 if I remember correctly. They spread like mad though, he got one about 6 months ago and now he has about 20.

    I'm pretty confident that it's not aptasia. Aptasia have striations along the fringes of the tentacles, almost like striping. They're absent in your pics. Whatever it is, it's beautiful, and that first picture is really beautiful. If you could snap one of the same quality, but off from maybe a 40 degree angle from the top so we could see the tentacles, and the stalk, that would be nice. :)

    Take a pic with flash. Its not aiptasia, if its a rock anemone, thats a nice rock anemone. The pics are too dark for me...

    Its not Aptasia because that size Aptasia would have really long tentacles..those tentacles are short.

    second glance is making me think its a rose anemone of a species im not familiar with...

    Im pretty sure its not a rock anemone either. Rock anemone's have about twice as many tentacles.

    Where did the rock come from? That would narrow it down. Still want a pic with flash.
