    Hi i have noticed some spots on my emperor angel fins he is eating and behaving fine but its slowly getting worst. can someone tell me what it is and how to best treat it????? (to me it looks like fin root but im to new to know) Thanks.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    That looks similar to lymphocytosis, which is usually self limiting, a viral infection I believe.
    Google it and see what you think.

    there is no treatment for this? i waited a few weeks and its spreading slowly.

    i have a 30g quarantine tank shall i put him in or leave him in the DT?

    The virus is already present in the DT, QT at this point seems pointless.

    It can take weeks to months if it's stubborn.

    I would however bump up the diet with foods specifically designed for angels. Their diet should include marine sponges and algae. Hopefully adding such will help the immune system and contribute in shorting the duration of the virus.
