I got some close pictures of the algae that's been plaguing my tank. Is it just brownish hair algae? I did have some cyano mixed in with it but now the cyano (at least the reddish cyano) is gone. Anyway, any thoughts on this would be helpful.

I battle with that each month mindy. It seems to be a type of gha. Now that my all in one pellets are in full effect it doesn't spread and I'm slowly winning the war. I still have to break out the scrub brush every now and then though

ok, I was thinking that's what it is - when it had darker brown and red in it - it looked to have had some cyano mixed in. It's a pain in the **tt :( and so unsightly. Corailline, I have two fighting conch, urchin, emerald, several hermits and various snails.

Just give it time and keep fighting. I have a few patches of gha on a few rocks and no matter what I do it comes back only in those spots. I now tell myself that I'm simply giving the rock a hair cut instead of fighting algae because it doesn't spread. Lol. BTW, the green star polyps are looking nice. I just fragged some from the reef into the 125.

well, if your meticulous tank has it - I can certainly deal with it :) just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something or that I was identifying it incorrectly.
