plastic rods for building aquascape?

    If my @#$&* tank ever shows up it is really cool. the bottom is 1" thick glass sandwiched between 2 1/2" thick sheets of acrylic so I should have really good protection for the bottom.

    The smallest PVC that I've seen is 1/2" which is actually 0.84" outer diameter. Even with big pieces of rock, I don't want to heve to use a 7/8" or 1" bit to drill it.

    McMasterCarr: just pickup 1/2 & 3/4 ACRLIC rods x 6'0" long, $20.00 and they ship. Works graet.

    I got a bunch of varoius sizes from mcmastercarr as well, still sitting in the tube they came in almost a year ago. I found it difficult to achieve what i wanted with them, i had the pillar idea but eventually just used gravity and stacked my rocks and made sure they were stable. Maybe ill try a pillar or two again in the new tank....
