plants/weeds  wateva u wanna call em

the live rock in my tank has become host to some nifty lookin plants , i was just wondering if there is any plant growth that i should look out for and if there are any sites u recomend ??

Nifty plants, eh? 8)

Common stuff includes:

"Caulerpa, Halimeda, Valonia, Penicillus (shaving brush), Udotea are common genera of macro-algae that are readily available and saleable. Macro-algae is used to contrast with micro-algae; the microscopic green, diatom, dinoflagellate, et alia species that we more often are trying to avoid or eliminate."

I had some pretty red Halymenia sp. or Dictyota sp. in mine.

My only suggestion is if you have caulerpa, remove it, unless you want a caulerpa tank. The stuff can take over a tank fast.

the only thing that looks familiar is the caulpera , but im not 100% if it is caulpera or halimeda , it has these strings comin out of it ,
i have some red plants that look really cool to

i also have these bright red little spots of dif parts of my lr , any ideas wat they r , they appear to be growin

i had an awesome alge page booked marked but it got wiped out when the hard drive went ill have to look for that for u but here is another good page that i have
