As many of you already know, I am trying to establish a plant tank. I had 2 CO2 injectors in my 30 gallon, but there was such a build up of algae, that I took one out. A friend suggested that I use a plant fertilizer also & told me Plant Gro was a good one. As per directions, I put in one capful/10 gallons of water. However, there were no directions on the bottle as to how often to put it in. Can anyone help? Thanks.

"Directions: Weekly; add one capful per ten gallons of water. "

I would be careful with this if you are having algae problems. I see your friends point that if the plants get a foothold the algae will go away, but I fear in the meantime you might be feeding your algae. Hard to say.

what kind of algae growth are you getting and what kinds of plants do you plan on keeping? Is this going to be a a high light or a low light planet system? Also, how old is the system and how are you adding CO2 (yeast or tank)?
