I would check your state laws on exotic pets. I believe it is unlawful to import piranha without a license let alone sell them. Piranha are carnivores and create a lot of waste. you will need to do large water changes weekly.

You cannot put Red Belly's in a tank that small, they grow extremely fast and you will have a problem quick. If it's legal where you are, you should look into a Sanchezi, it's possible you can house one in your tank.

Best place to order them is:
    http://www.aquascapeonline.com/

Their stock and service is awesome.

And FYI Piranhas are not the blood thirsty killers they are made out to be, if you're looking for a killer fish then you're looking into the wrong species. They are scavengers and yes they feed in frenzy's but only when in large shoals. They are extremely skiddish by nature and take a good while to get comfy most of the time. Beautiful fish but completely abused and misunderstood in the hobby, shame.

You could do a small black diamond rhom for a while. They grow VERY slow, around an inch a year, and should be kept singly. It will eventually need a pretty big tank (125+ gallons) but thats a very long ways down the road. I had a 3-4" one in a 20 a while ago, it was one of the coolest fish I ever had. The blood red eyes really set it apart, and for feeders I gave it gut-loaded diamond tetras because they were faster and generally better nutritionally than goldfish.

    here's a pic from way back when . . .

I also had a 75 with 5 large ternz and caribe, I diddn't really think twice about putting my hands in that tank, but this little guy made me think twice.
