Pink Birdsnest

    Its hard to see but a few branches has a little brown algae on them. Marine Depot said if there is too much fluctuation in PH that can cause it. My ph goes from 7.8-8.1. I think maybe just a little too much food over the last few days? I also moves the power head so it is not directly above it. I have him about12 inches under the XM 20,000k 150 watt MH bulb.

    This may not always be the case, but I know someone before posted that their pink birdsnest had algae growing on it. Usually this only happens when that part of the corals has died, as algae doesn't grow on living tissue. I could be wrong though
