I have personally witnessed a species of asterina chowing down on zoanthids.

    Yes

Not that I came across. :p

    That's what I did.
I would be interested in hearing how your Wrasse works out.
I had a Wrasse in there for a while but I didn't not any effect on these guys.

As for my Montipora, these starfish seemed to nip at them as I shown, but the biggest adverse affects noted with those corals were from low alk and mag in my case.

I don't have much faith in my sixline...may work, may not.

But here is another possible preditor that just might.

Have always wanted one of these, but did not want to keep up with his starfish only eating habits.

The way these asterina multiply...I just may be able to support one in tank.

Worth a try --- will let you know how works out. :p

the link to the specific part of garfs site on those starfish won't take you straight to it so what you need to do is go to this site Geothermal Aquaculture Research Foundation Home Page go down the left side of the screan to aquarium pests, then choose the sub category sps eatting starfish then read all about them.theres plenty of data and pictures and the people at garf know their stuff. We have documented these type of starfish eating small polyp stony corals, Xenia , green stars, and several types of soft leather corals.
