    Typical total photoperiod is 10 hours. How long one runs their "mid day" lighting (in your case, the MH) depends on how many and what wattage bulbs they have, as well as tank size, types of corals, etc.

    Before I switched to LED. I had a single 150w 10,000k mh bulb and 2 36w pc actinics. I ran the mh from 1pm to 9pm and pc from 12pm - 10pm..this was on a 57g DT with mostly LPS and an RBTA

    Thank you guys, the set up is 2x150 w mh 4x54 t-5ho and 4 1 w led actinic

    I would suggest you also go for LED as they are really good and I do not think there would be any issue with that. As suggested above you can also go for 150w 10,000k mh bulb and 2 36w pc actinics.
