Cant seem to get my ph under control I have a 90 gal tank with a 15 gallon sump and a 20 gallon refugium connected but nothing in it yet. I have been trying to get my ph under control its reading 8.8 all and alk is very high as well
i only have about 10 pounds of live rock and 80 pounds of dead rock on its way to live rock. I have a feeling its my salt I use red sea coral pro salt. I have been changing water at about 20 gal a day after I tested it and the ph was high
about 4 days and no change. The tank is only about 2 months old if it is the salt please give me a recommendation
on what to use I have tried vinegar dosing but it only lowered it for a day then went right back up. Every other parameter is in order, i have no coral yet just a few fish.

    Sal 1.025
    PH 8.8
    am 0
    nitrite 0
    nitrates 0
Alk red sea test kit just says high going to buy new one on monday
    Only use RO/DI water

test kit readings of 8.8 are often the result of test kit issues rather than PH issues IMO

I would have that test kit verified before taking any further action such as adding an acid like vinigar to your set up

DKH in Coral Pro can be as high as 12 in that SG of yours
but I have used coral pro for at least 2 years and never had a PH issue with it
hence I do suspect its a test kit problem

if the lid has not been screwed on tightly there may be some evaporation
this makes the reagent more concentrated and you end up with a deeper colour and thus a false high test result
