I have got a good selection of lps over the last few weeks, namely

    Hammerhead
    Lobophilia
    Candycane

    params are

    Ammonia-0
    Nitrate-0
    Nitrite-0
    Phos-0.025
    ph-8.1
    Mag-1250
    calcium-420

i have not added anything to the water but do a 25% water change every week using purple bucket instant ocean reef salt

are these params ok, tanks been running for 5 months now, i have a cyano outbreak at the moment and few corals look a bit sluggish, but cant find anything wrong?

    Thanks in advance

    Stingray.

I think those parameters sound good. I'm thinking the cyano is probably a stage of being a fairly new tank. You can remove some manually. You could try to run some phosphate absorbing product that may lower your phos level but even if you get a lower number on phos when testing doesn't guarantee you don't have it.

I run phosguard and have for years. I am beginning to think that it may be slowing my coral growth though. Just a hypothesis.
