    Tank running for a week and half. Was given some live rock and noticed this growth on the back I think its a Pallythoa from looking online. Since I have a new tank do you think it can survive? Do I need to change my gameplan, letting tank run for a couple of weeks before doing anything.

    That particular type is pretty hardy. I have a bunch that has been through some hard times.
    A cycle may be a bit much for them though. Maybe if you monitored params and did appropriate water changes to keep levels down.

    The pally is pretty hardy. How much live rock do you have? It may not have much of a cycle
