anyone ever keep one? i cant seem to find much info on the web
Put common names in your title too, it'll help generate responses.
That being said, I've only ever seen one. Care is something like a leptoseris I'd say. Medium light medium flow. Higher flow generates the "stacking of plates" which is pretty cool.
thx reef, couldnt find the common name :s
It's a tough one, serpent coral usually. But again, there is not much out on these guys. I got my info through word of mouth from a vendor so it might not even be correct lol.
If you see Pachy in the title than it's an Elephant Skin coral, common name.
It's a pretty hardy coral, not one you see a lot of these days.
Mod flow and lighting. Maintain the big three as you would for most stony corals.
Now that you mention elephant skin it does ring a bell, thx Cheryl. Ill post a pic at some point. Seems i got my hands on a rary. Its blueish green in color and rather large.
For the record the big 5 have been stable at:
Looks good. Make sure the alk stays above 7 for stony corals.
it sounds pretty - be sure to post pictures
Separate names with a comma.
