Well, we've had a sun coral for about a week or so, and had barely seen any little yellow tentacles anywhere. Not even at night. Well, last night, I saw one kind of poking out a bit. But then tonight, BOOM! I thought last night was "open", boy was I wrong. It's so cool!

I thought we got a bum coral or something and it was gonna die on us. Nope. Needless to say my mom and I are happy people. Pics will definitely be posted tomorrow.

Well I was hoping my mom would post some pics...but she didn't. I was actually away from the house yesterday from 9 oclock in the morning to 1:30 this morning :p

I'll see what I can do today. You won't be seeing any until tonight though. But I'll try. :D

When I first got my sun coral, I target fed it right away, and now whenever there's food in the water, it opens up beautifully, I still target feed every couple of days, with the sun coral in my hang-on-tank mesh breeder cage so it eats well and the extra food doesn't mess up the tank. I think using this method, it opens a lot more for viewing pleasure!

Grats!! Mine open HUGE about an hour after a large feeding. I used to feed with mysis and brine, but when I started on minced supermarket shrimp + selcon my sun polyps really took off.
