Orange monti with with stuff on it?

    My monti cap has a thin layer of white stuff on the top of it almost like its shedding. [​IMG]

    Its a terrible picture but you can kind of see what im talking about. Nothing has changed in my tank no new additions.

    pH 8.3
    dkH 9-10 (depending on the time of day like right after dosing)
    temp 78.6
    nitrates 10ppm
    Cal 400ppm

    For flow i have a MP40 on the left on reef crest set to full and on the righ there is a 1400 hydor.

    did you just do a water change and have it below the water level? mine do that when the water goes below it during a water change, but clears up after a day or too

    I did a water change on sun like normal but it never was out of the water its about 10" of the top of my tank so about the middle of my 75gal.
