    Hi,

I'm doing a tank upgrade from a 34g FOWLR to a 90g with 50g sump. I currently have two clowns, a leopard wrasse, and a mandarin goby. All have been with me for 3+ years.

I plan to move 45lbs of my current live rock and 80% of my existing tank water. I'll be getting an additional 59lbs of cured live rock and new live sand from my LFS.

Will One and Only help me here? I really want to move everything to the new tank ASAP as the new tank has to go where the old tank is.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Hello
Yes the One & Only will act as insurance in case of an ammonia spike due to organics being degraded from the live rock and/or live sand.

    Thanks DrTim!

    Would I proceed this way?

    1. Add live rocks/live sand
    2. Fill with saltwater
    3. Add One and Only
    4. Add fish (probably clowns first)
    5. Add rest of the fish within 24 hrs?

    1. Add live rocks/live sand
    2. Fill with saltwater

if possible filter the tank water through some sort of mechanical filtration (filter sock?) to remove organics and debris. Remove filter sock before adding One & Only

    3. Add One and Only

turn skimmer, UV off for 24 hours.

    4. Add fish (probably clowns first)
    5. Add rest of the fish within 24 hrs? - yes

Thanks again DrTim - I really appreciate the quick responses.

Should I wait 24 hours between #3 and #4? I'm guessing I should add the clown BEFORE 24 hrs but just checking.

It would be best to wait 24 hours if you can just to let stuff settle but it is not absolutely necessary

    you're welcome

Would it be best to wait 24 hours between #2 and #3 or between #3 and #4? The reason I'm thinking this is because you recommend adding the first fish within 24 hrs of adding One and Only to feed the bacteria...

the bacteria will be fine - they don't need fish asap so wait between 3-4 not 2-3
