    Dr. Tim,

I am getting ready to get your One and Only bacteria. I am setting up 180 gallon with sump and macro algae DT (refugium). The total volume is close to 250g. I have seen Mr. Saltwater video about your product. He mentioned that anything above 75g, I really dont need to supply ammonia. Instead, fish will help producing ammonia which will feed the bacteria.

    My questions are:

    1. How many fish should I get to help some ammonia in 250g?
    2. Can I start corals right away?
    3. What kind of equipment I should turn on/off?
    4. How long is the shelf life of this product?

    Thank you so much.

5 or 6 fish but it depends on the size of the fish. most people start with damsels who just fight amongst themselves so don't be surprised if a few start looking bad

    No

remove filter sock, turn off skimmer and UV - all for 48 hours after dosing

    One year

So when will be the best time for corals?

'corals' is too general of a term. best to post in some other parts of this forum to get responses from people who keep the same 'coral' you want but I would say at least a month but that depends on water quality.

Thank you Dr. Tim. I did what you suggested above.

I was wondering if my tank is actually cycled. Is it possible not to see Ammonia and Nitrite at all? So far this is my result. I've been using Sailfert test kit.

    Day1
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : Not tested

    Day2
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : Not tested

    Day3
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : Not tested

    Day4
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : 5 ppm

    Day5
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : 5 ppm

    Day6
    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : 5 ppm

    Thank you
