Welcome to 3reef, it sounds like you have a great attitude, so feel free to ask as many questions as you want. However, as the others have noted, I do have some concerns about your new tank. Is it actually 1 day old? There is a process known as cycling that prepares the tank to accept livestock. This process involves the growth of various bacteria colonies that transform toxic ammonia and nitrite to nitrate which is relatively harmless to fish and corals. This process takes several weeks and you need test kits for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate to check the process. You can cycle with fish, but in almost all circumstances, only 1, and a hardy fish such as a yellow tailed damsel I see you have. Please post some more information about your tank, size, lbs of rock, livestock, age etc. so we can help out.

oh no its been up and running for awhile now, I had an algae outbreak and I never ever got the water clear, ps its at least 6 months in the making, $$$$ its very costly, so i'm a slow starter.

Oh great that's a relief that is 6 moths.

You could consider getting some more rock in there. Reef cleaners have a good selection of rock. Very cheap too.

How big is your tank.. In the pic it looks like a 55? Lol wild guess
