    Ok, so I can't get a picture of it because my camera doesn't like to focus on small things in my tank, and manual focus at night is near impossible

    So I drew a picture! It's actually probably better than any photo I could get...

    I've got 2, maybe 3 of these little colonies in the tank, they're very small, each "tentacle" is maybe 4-5mm long. They're in colonies of 20-30 that vary in size from near microscopic to above stated size.

    I suspect they're hydroids of some sort, but can't find a picture on GIS that fits, so maybe someone here can help.

    are you sure there are a whole bunch of them as opposed to them all being attached by a translucent disk?

    sounds like a ball anemone to me.
