olympus stylus tough ...memory question

i just orderd an olympus stylus tough 8000. my question is do i need xd cards or can i use sd cards?

 

definitely need xd.... used to have one... well the older brother to the 8000

 

dang ok i was hoping to get a bigger card but o well i guess ill hafta shell out for afew 2 gig 1s.... aprox how many pics fit on the 2 gig card do you guys think on the highest setting?

 

I have an older olympus stylus that is water resistant, and it takes XD. most every other brand uses sd. Olympus for some reason keeps holding on to the xd even though it is harder to find other cameras that use that.

 

i know i noticed the price tag on them is not as nice as the price tags on sd cards....dang.. all well guess the old saying is true you gotta pay to play... how many pics can i put on a 2 gig xd m+ card with the camera on its highest setting you guys think?
