Time to frag the RP. Very unsure where though. Given it a lot of thought but still have made no decision. I plan on doing it tomorrow. I am going to frag 2 pieces.

    Main branches from base?

    Tips of tabling ?

Or just the branch of the main frag ?

    Two images from different angles.

    TIA

I think I might do the tips of the tabling hoping to get it to balance out.

Thank you very much exactly what I was looking for.
    :)

John I gave this a lot of thought on the growth pattern and how I can change it or balance it out. I guess I do not have enough experience with fragging to predict in a ball park how it may grow after fragging. But I have been leaning towards tips or one tip and one of the smaller main branches.

I fragged three pieces. One main branch and two tips.

Went well with 2 pieces, both show good PE within an hour after fragging. The main colony barely blinked ( knock on wood).

    Main branch frag.

Tip frag, tried to go more horizontal.

The last frag which I do not have an image of is completely horizontal, but perhaps too much super glue.

Well when photobucket is working correctly I will post pics AGAIN, sorry.

Congrats on the fragging. I am looking forward to the day when I have to frag a coral because of its growth not to save some piece of a dying colony.

I now see were those fragging kits with the magnifier and tools come in really handy. I was pretty darn surprised at how well everything looks just hours afterwards, the big frags show no hint that they were just fragged.

Perhaps, just have to see how they do for a couple weeks. I would only sell frags that I knew were stable and had a reasonable chance of making through the stress of shipping.
