Unresolved Not coral, maybe algae??

    So I turned off my power head and waited a few min and this appeared

    I don't even know how to describe it.... Should I worry

    Looks like clumps of cyanobacteria.

    =1 some kind of cyano. How old is your tank?

    About 5 months, how do I get rid of it??

    Has my tank tanked?

    Fair warning its a pain but you will live, I am dealing with it now. You have an increased levels of nutrients in your system. Find a way to lower your phosphate level. Rodi water, if you already use it check the filters, watch how much you are feeding and you could shorten light cycle. Oh, and i agree looks like cyano

    So how do I get rid of it ultimately? I use ro di water and it's only 5 months old. I use chemipure but I was thinking of getting that other one I can't remember the name.

    Manually remove it everywhere you see and often. Make sure to keep your water quality high either by increasing the volume of water changes or the quantity. Cyano is part of the system so it will always be there you just want to make it hard for it to reproduce.
