Hey everyone! I'm Meg and I'm a noob. I got my tank a few weeks ago. It was an established tank and we did NOT do appropriate research. I've made up for it because I've been on Tapatalk and the Internet for the past few weeks obsessively researching.

I can identify all my fish. They are:
2 Clowns (Nemo and another to be named)
    A Clarkii (Blemo)
2 pink spotted Watchmen gobies (Olaf and also tbd)
2 chromii (Chromeo and shark bait)
1 Lawnmower Blenny (Tommy Lee Jones)
1 Melanurus Wrasse (Mr. Assy Wrassey)
1 blue hippo tang (Dory, of course)
Various hermits (blue striped dwarf, scarlet, etc)
Various snails (no idea what kind)
2 pencil sea urchins (Flotsam and Jetsam)

I have various corals but only know what a few are. My favorite has been the soft open brain coral. Blemo sleeps on it at night when it shrinks down.

Anyway, I'm glad to have found my way into this hobby! Looking forward to learning a lot and one day having multiple tanks!

Thanks guys! I'm going to pester you with questions. So thanks in advance.

I'll take some and start a thread. I'm just not happy with how it looks right now. The urchins keep moving my rocks. I have to redo it all with superglue. Not sure how I'm gonna do that. It's a deep tank and I can't reach the bottom. Meh. Problem solving!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

what size is the tank? I don't know that we're ever happy with how our tanks look :) I have a step ladder that sits pretty close to the tank

Welcome and ask away! It won't be something that hasn't been asked before, we've all been there and love to help out where we can!

yes yes, urchins love to move things.... some rocks, some grab corals.... you'll have fun with that!

I started my salty journey similar to yours. As in, it was a setup tank, just fish, but it was enough to hook me in and plant my flag! hahaha

and I end with where I started, welcome to the addiction! :D

Civic uses a snorkle mask to reach the bottom of his tank. Moral of the story, limit the height of your tank to the length of your arm. :p
