I'm sorry to hear you're giving up the hobby. Maybe you could standby it instead and start a huge tank with the permission of the priests and have everyone helping to make it an awesome reef tank. You could even start it with the stock of your current tank.
For what I've read, the schedule is pretty tight, but if at any point they ask for suggestions, think about it and all the feelings of joy and accomplishment the tank will bring to everyone involved in its development. It may be quite a bit of cash to start it, but start modest and add something new each month that you can discuss and decide with your fellow seminarians.

what you should do is set up a tank with corals only, biopellets, and lights on a timer. You will let it run with out you, only teach your parents to maintain salinity and top off.
When you come home just fix the calc and magnesium.

It will be like a surprise every time you visit.

 

Not a convent, but a seminary yes. Convent would be for like nuns and stuff haha.
