Just wondered if something good or bad is happening.

I finally removed the last of my bioballs yesterday, and replaced them with about 3-5 lbs of rock rubble, in my wet/dry. I meant to check NO3 before I started, but forgot :( Last time I tested ( a few days ago), Nitrates were like 20-30 ppm...
    now tonight I test everything...and I have 0 nitrates, 0 nitrites, and maybe a very little ammonia...or maybe 0.

will removing bioballs change nitrates that that fast? could something bad be happening? I hope I haven't re-started a cycle?

( I removed 1/3 bioballs about every 2 weeks, last being last night)

    any ideas would be appreciated....

    TIA

As suggested by many hobbiests, Nitrates, Nitrites, and Ammonia are Bad you dont want them so The fact that you got rid of them is good. If your running a reef tank and have alot of live rock you dont need bio balls in your wet/dry. You did it slowly which is good also. I don't think you did anything wrong infact I think you did a good thing :) (as long as you have LR in your tank)
