Nicky has kept her 24g acrylic around for a while now. I decided to try my hand at my first woodworking project. Here goes. First a few quick shots of my building the stand. I went with Red Oak which, it turns out is very cool but very heavy. I went with the cross grain slats intentionally partly to practice joining and partly because I thought it looked cool. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Definitely massive! Pretty cool, actually. Looking through the tank it appears TOO large to even fit, lol! Way sweet.

Haha, I was planning on using it in my reef upgrade but decided against it. Thought it worked in the new tank and so far loving it!
