I was hoping not to have to ever jump into this thread - and I am hopeing it's nothing major and just being overly cautious.

I have two fire clowns mated pair - I just noticed that the male has what looks like a lose scale - it's not white just looks like one scale is polished - he is acting normal.

I have only had them for two weeks - the tank is only 2 1/2 months old
    Nitrate - .5
    ammonia -0
    nitrite - 0
    calcium - 320
    sal - 1.022
    ph 8.0

I took a look in the fish diagnosis thread and could not find anything

    any info would be great

Well parameters seem fine; I don't really think you need to worry about calcium with fish unless you have a reef. you might want to ask Corailline or 2in10; they're like the main fish experts

It may be nothing but just to be safe keep an eye on him for the next couple days. If it looks worse let me know and we can figure it out. How do his fins look?
Do the appear to be rotting or is it just one scale?
Keep us posted and good luck

I do know my calcium and ph are low - I will be adding a skimmer next week. I also just started to use ro water - so I am sure it will get better as the tank ages.

Glad your fish appears to be doing better.
