    I was reading that star fish prey on clams. I've got a serpintine star, and a sand star.Should i be worried?

    no you should be ok. as long as the sand star isn't starving, if a sand star is about to die it may try to get anything it can. there have been cases of sandstars fishing. but i haven't seen any do it.
