I am not sure if I can plumb this tank with basic pipping or do I need the kit they sell for it?

I tried searching the site with no luck.
Is there a link for this setup?

You can use either standard pvc fitting/pipes with reg. bulkheads or the kits. Just make sure you have the right sizes of bulkhead and pvc. Luna

What pieces do I use to keep the water from leaking from the holes were the pipe goes?

Do I need to do anything special with the pipes or just have two strait pipes one feeding the water into the tank the other open end for the water to feed into?

bulkheads are used to keep water from flowing around holes then standard pvc goes into the bulk head. you can attatch flexable tubing to bottom side or more pvc. You can do with out kit but if not very fimiler with plumbing kit may help.

Depending on the size of the tank and what size hole they drilled, will dictate what size bulkhead(BH) to buy. "NORMALLY" the drain is 1"-1 1/4" and the return is 3/4"- 7/8". This is what a BH looks like.......

Or just regular pvc. I hope the pics help. Your "trusted" LFS can/should help you out.

I don't understand the drain pipe in that picture. It has a cap on the top and a elbow turning it back into the water.
Wouldn't a strait pipe with a open end and maybe some holes drilled down the side work?

Here is a site that will explain how a drain pipe works.

That explains what I need to do.

    Lunatic

It looks like you were quite creative in your design. Does the filter help keep the noise levels low?
It looks like anything will work. The more water we can keep inside the better. Its just a matter on how quite we can keep it.

Thanks guys, alot of great help here.
