New tank.. no ammonia?

    Yeah, I realise that, this is part of my research ;). It's difficult because it's a 3-4 hour round trip to my "L"FS, so my mentality when I'm there is that I always want to get everything I need while I'm there rather than go home and research it and go back. It seems they never have the products that I read about.
    Researching the topic is difficult too because there's so many conflicting opinions/theorys :(. The reason I'm here is to get some opinions as to whether what I have at the moment is suitable to cycle a tank properly.
    When you say that the 10 mollies are way too many, do you mean the tank won't cycle properly or the fish won't survive?

    fish may not survive and your gonna have a bunch of mollies in the tank, i think the latter is worse lol
