New Skimmer after... 6 years?

    Hey everyone.

    Well it sure has been a while since I posted. I just graduated college and am now looking into grad school. When I got back home I noticed that my tank still looks surprisingly amazing (minus all the aiptasia that has taken over... but that is another story). Anyways, my bak-pak 2 skimmer just seems to be to moody with regards to well... working right all the time. I think it is time I found a new one. Any suggestions for a hang-on for a 55gal reed. Also... should I expect a negative backlash in the tank because of the change?

    I would look inti an Aqua-C Remora w/ a maxi jet 1200. Very good skimmer for the price.
