New lionfish acclimating now. question

    On our last cycle of filling the bag and then letting him free. So about another 40 minutes or so. Ill let you know when hes in and get some more pictures of him. Also, he is a black volitan.

    that is unless mr sharkyshark has settled on eduardo?

    With fish like that I end up doing a water change slowly through a bucket. Drip the water into a bucket with the fish in it. Drain water from bucket and continue dripping. Do this 4 or 5 times and eventually you will have replaced all of the water he came in with water from your tank. That was the safest way I found to add lion fish at the LFS i worked at.

    Keep in mind the water you empty out of the bucket gets tossed and you will need to add salt water back to the tank.

    Got him in. Went well....He's yet to the discover the damsel hiding in the rocks I left in there as a welcome snack from the cycle. Since the pictures suck im in the process of uploading a video to youtube. Should be up here in 5 min or less ;D

    very pretty fish i always love lions. but my little reef tank isnt big enough for one of the darwfs.

    looks like the acclimation went well ;D

    I love lions as I had mine for a little over a year and he outgrew my 90 gallon so I had to get rid of him.
