Need to know what you're keeping (ie - type of corals).

Go to the sponsors forum and contact the guys at Rapidled they'll repond quickly and can give you an estinmate on cost as well. Usually your budget will determine the best LED set-up for your tank.;)

Pssst. Check the forum location above. :)

SPS will drive your count higher.

I'm running 60 (24 CW XP-G's, 28 RB XR-E's, 8 WW XR-Es) on a similar sized tank and I find it quite sufficient for SPS.

60 LEDs is about right for that sized tank. It's often easiest to go with our kits, so perhaps a 48 kit and a 12 kit. Your choices after that would be dimmable or non-dimmable, and color mix (ie. do you like 14k, 20k, etc).

No, on top of the kits you'll need a heatsink(s) and fan(s), as well as a method to control dimming. If you don't have a controller (ie. Apex, Reef Keeper, our DDC-01, etc) and don't want to get one then you'll need a 10V adapter + potentiometer (one pot per color will do it, assuming you have at least 2 drivers).

    For 20k get a 2:1 royal blue:cool white ratio.
