Ok guys, yesterday I bought a frag of a beautiful LA Lakers scroll coral. The owner fragged my piece of this coral right at the time of purchase for me.

Since I'm having a tough time finding good research material on this type of coral, I'm gonna need some help from all my fellow aquarium lovers.

    1. how long will the frag take to heal up and what special precautions should I take with it
    2. what is the average growth rate of this coral
    3. recommendations for placement, lighting, and flow
    4. what if any supplemental feeding my this coral need

Thanks for all the help in advance

Usually takes about 2 weeks to recover, it will like medium to high light and high flow, any supplemental feeding would be SPS coral food.

Any ideas as to the growth rate, the coral this frag came from was the size of your average pancake and the colors were just amazing? I'm really excited about this piece and I'm looking forward to this becoming a focal point in my tank.

For me, turbinaria sp (scroll) corals grow very slow. You may have a better growth rate though. Good luck
