Hard as a rock! anywhere between 250-350 on the tds meter. alot of it was the fact that it was an old tank, and I learned from a very experienced and wise mentor.

 

And what were these words of wisdom that let you skip all the rule that the rust of us have to abide by?

 

LOL. nothing special, just different ways to do things. Not changing the water was one method. running a high nutrient system. VHO lighting. nothing fancy. no dsb. look up a guy named Tangster. he knows alot. many think he is just a senile old geezer, but trust me, he knows his stuff and is really good.

 

have not seen him recently but "Tangster" is well known in these parts

hi, that was some incredible tank! i also usually never do water changes to my 150G or the 29G. ( i do but not as ofen, maybe once every 2-3 months or so.).

im from the high parts of GA.so your not so far haha.

Gexx, My son wants a lion fish so bad. he calls them zebra fish. so long as I get a small one, and dont get any fish that it can eat, I will be ok. but I like the small fish. I hope to do a school of anthias.
