    By popular demand...

I've made it so certain buzzwords in posts are automatically linked to a related article!  8)

So if I say something like DSB or plenum or durso - they are linked!
    How cool is that?

So if you think a thread on this board or articles elsewhere should define certain words, let me know here.  :)

The only rule is that it has to be a single word, mulitple words or phrases don't work.  :-/

But other than that, I think it's pretty cool, don't you?

That's amazing. So how does it work? Do you need to link the words manually or does the poster? I don;t see any new Icons.
Does this mean you have to spend more time on the site. and hey shouldn't you be at work not adding code you the website? :p

It uses some serious regex voodoo that runs through posts on display. I was worried about speed, but it doesn't seem to take a hit.

I have an interface to enter new keywords like this:

If you have good ones, let me know.  ;) :)

By the way as soon as I installed this, a new version came out with some more options.  ::) I'll install it tonight. I believe the only major difference is it will allow you to deactive hotlinks from individual posts. It will also show them in preview mode.

    Thanks!

I am going to change 'rock' to 'LR' becuase rock is coming up a lot in posts and it's a little distracting. I am trying to persuade the guy who made this mod to allow you to set limits on how many times a buzzword can be linked in one post for that reason.

    Hey Matt,
Is this the same software that can link acronyms to a look up page.  eg. [glow=red, 2, 300]DSB[/glow] when the mouse moves over it it will show in a little window [glow=blue, 2, 300]deep sand bed[/glow]

No it's not, but very similar. I have seen the one you are talking about. This one is made specifically for these type of boards.
