    i got A really nice large waving hand coral last night. the rock it is on has some fuzzy looking green algae on it. my tank is algae free and my nutrients are in check. do i have to worry about a hostile takeover from this little bit of algae. i cant really take it out and brush it due to the polyps are right with the algae.

    It depends what type of algae it is, do you have a picture?
