New additions. Green star polyps & Purple Gorgonian

Out this in general because I don't if these are SPS or any other acronym

Wow that GSP pops! I read other posts about it spreading and being aggressive. But seems like every cool coral has some form of self protections. Im going to glue the GSP plate on the back glass so it will grow over glass. I saw this on this site where it looks like grass. Thought that was so cool.
My son picked out the purple Gorgonian.
Can see my Hawkfish between them

My tank. Don't like the rock setup on left. Will change that
On sand left to right. Torch, Derasa, maxima, pinwheel zoa. behind maxima is my maze that might be dead. Behind maze up on rock is my stunner chalice.
And then long tentacle behind on back glass. It's huge!
Also had a huge condy on far left but not in picture

Tank is coming together. I'll watch to see how the gsp works out. I may want to try that.

How did you come to that conclusion?

The Gorgonian is Non Photosynthetic is why it needs to be fed, As for twice daily I know it definitely won't hurt.

Again, how did you come to that conclusion?

Just because its a gorgonian doesn't mean its NPS, there are species that can photosynthesize.

Its actually M. flavida., a photosynthetic species that is one of the most commonly available species and easiest gorg to take care of. IF it WAS NPS, twice daily actually would hurt. You would need to be somewhere in the ball park of somewhere between constantly and constantly feeding it, on top of maintaining PRISTINE water quality.

Please don't pass along info if you aren't sure.

Sorry I couldn't tell it was M. flavida over P. Eunicae from the picture. Can you let me know the difference so i don't make this mistake again?

As for the feeding twice daily, I didn't express well enough that i wasn't familiar with feeding twice as Vinny had posted about it.
