Okay, as some of you may know, I already have a 60g reef tank thats been up for just about 6mo. Well, the 60g is taking up to much room so I am downsizing to a 40g. I am actually very excited because I am going all LED on this tank and I get the chance to fix all the mistakes I made on my first tank.

    Specs:
    40g Breeder 36x18x16 High
    Boostled Mu 135w LED Fixture
    2x Evo 750's...later a Vortech MP-10
    20g Sump/fuge
    Aqua C Urchin Skimmer...later a Bubble Magus NAC3
    150w Jager heater

    Current Livestock:
    1x Purple Firefish
    1x Peppermint Hogfish
    2x Yellow Banded Possum Wrasse
    1x Chalk Basslet
    1x Yasha Goby

    Planned Livestock:
    1x Ocellaris Clownfish

sounds like a positive plan to me Brennan

the good news with a down size is that you do not have to purchase much extra, like you may have to with an up sizing

I painted the back of the tank today, 3 coats of Rustoleum Flat Black Enamel.

I think it turned out well :) (sorry about the reflection)

Still debating honestly. LOVE LED's but not sure if the Mu 135 is the right choice. The highest I'd be able to have the light over the tank is about 12" and I don't want to burn any of my corals. Plus I will not have a canopy so I'm a little concerned about spill over light. If its close to the blue/purple light cast out by the Par 30's I could live with that. I actually like how the 2 over my 10g light up the room with ambient light.
