New 3reef Shirt Design Ideas

I recently found a local illustrator that I think would be a good fit to design new 3reef shirts. ( Current shirts shown and for sale here: http://www.3reef.com/fishstore/catalog/3reef-Tropical-Fish-Shirts-orderby0-p-1-c-249.html )


Realistically we probably will not see new 3reef Shirts until fall as the broke State of California just took all of the 3reef money for LLC renewals and fees. So it will take time to recoup from new sponsors, etc..

Regardless I want get the ball rolling and I would like your help.

If you have input..

1) Provide design idea as concisely as you can. Provide mock-ups if possible.
2) If you know a great illustrator who is a wizard at Adobe Illustrator, please leave contact info on my profile page.



Some tech notes:
1) Designs should contain as few colors as possible. The current 'Happy Fish' shirts were very expensive to make due to colors and gradients.
2) Due to budget constraints only a few designs will be chosen at first.
3) Understand that by providing a design, you are donating the rights to it. However, full credit will be given for the design.


STAY ON TOPIC PLEASE. Please provide just the above. I would really like this thread to be a good reference for me down the road.

As for design it could just say 3reef on the front.

Cool.. I still have to get me and my kids the clowns wanted shirts. Got to stop buying tank stuff for a week.


Not politically correct but just want to share..would not expect this to even be given a thought but.. "Reefing is my drug of choice". Picture of anemone or something.. 3reef on front pocket of T-shirt.

" Get your Fix at 3REEF"

It amazes me how some threads get many many responses but something as important as this has just been passed by.

Well I just got adobe photoshop cs4 and figured I would play with it for a bit. Tell me what you think?

I no the photo on the back is going to cost alot, so I am looking for a decent black and white frag pick to throw in there instead of the pulsating xenia. any other suggestions?

What do you guys think of the front logo? This is my first t-shirt design, I drew all my own tattoos and usually photoshop cars, but this was fun and I will do a few more this weekend.

I love that! I really like the front design. Maybe the back designed could be simplified a bit to work for Matt.
