New 14k (SPS)Bulb

um, every 10k MH bulb I've ever seen has been a yellowish tint, thats part of 10k and why few people use them, those that do usually have a lot of actinic lighting to go along with to overcome the yellow washout

 

You call it a yellow washout iraf but wouldn't you agree that it makes the true color of the coral come out. Since 10k is closer to the natural spectrum of the sun??

 

actually 5500k-6700k is at the surface, then, depending on the depth the natural sun lights k value changes, and not all 10k bulbs are actually 10k.

 

correct most are more like 8k

I said 10k bulbs are closer to the suns actual spectrum than your junk 14k sps bulbs that is ripping you off on. I also get alot of my info from reefcentral and the reeftank where people who know what they are talking about like mr. bob fenner and randy post. Most of the people on here don't speak from experience. They spend their time googling and just pick the first answer they find not giving a crap if it screws up another guys tank. because of that post otty, i will not be posting here again nor will I support any 3 reef sponsors.
