I found this on one of my small Kenya trees. Showed up last night. It is round, dark green to black and feels hard. Any ideas???

Is bubble algea hard to the touch? How do I get rid of it? Just pull it off? where does bubble algea come from? I will do some research. Thanks

You can pull it off, just dont pop it. I believe if you pop it it will release spores into the water.

I have never had it so far, someone elese on here can probably give you more info.

Thanks for the ID. I looked at the algea thread and sure enough bubble algea. I will use a baster to pull off the rock and then suck it up so nothing else gets in the water. Thanks for the help.

An emerald crab will eat them. IMO, if you have one, you probably have more.
