I'm just testing a theory on coloration... What bulbs do you have it under?
    Andthe type of coral please

Alright well I prolly sound really nerdy but actually impretty positive about this. My monti was red when I got it... Under my lights it's pink. When red goes to pink that means it's not gettig enough light in the right wavelength. I checked the wavelength that my monti absorbs (440nm) and then I looked to see if my halide has decent output in that area... As expected, it didn't. So then I checked the spectral output of my Fiji purple bulb... Guess what! low at 440nm! So I found that the geissmann super actinic has the highest spectral output at 440 than other bulbs so I'm considering getting one.
I just wanted to see what bulbs other red sps owners were running ;) (I know, I'm super nerdy but I want my red monti back)

Not nerdy to me. I'm curious about this too now.

I have a Red Planet Acro and it has turned more pink, but wouldn't necessarily call it pink, it's like a dark pink. I have it under 6x54w T5. It's in the back of the tank so from front to back:

    UVL Super Actinic
    Geissman 11K
    AquaScience 22k
    AquaScience 22k
    UVL Actinic white
    UVL Super Actinic

I am about ready to switch bulbs too and would like to see what you find.

I have a red planet that is kinda pink and a red tort that is red with the growth being like a blue purple maybe. I have 8x54 T5 with 5 ATI Blue+ 2, Actinic White, and 1 GE 6500k daylight.

most acros have different zooxanthellae than montis so here is some "general" data for most red colored acros:
    Excitation: 575nm
    Emission: 625nm
means it will absorb yellow photons and then after the photons go through the photosystem it will release them as red. (looks like some Giesemann Aquablue Plus would have the wavelengths for most types of red acros?)

Are you just looking at the spectrum graphs?
