I have a Neon Green Tree coral that has been in the tank for about 5 months now. It has always done great, however, the past 2 days it is not fully extending. At night it shrinks to the size of a baseball but when the lights come on it usually extends about 9 inches high and about 5 inches around. It is now about half that size and the polyps are not extending...Any ideas?

    Water parameters
    ph 8.4
    SG 1.025
    Temp 79
    Ca 475
    Alk 10.4
    Ammonia 0
    Nitrites 0
    Nitrates about 10 ppm

All of the other corals look great...

I have been thinking along those lines as well. At first I thought a snail might have brushed up against it. This always causes corals to close right up but after the second day I kinda ruled that out. I know my Toadstool went through a period of three weeks when it stayed completely closed and when it did open it was more healthy looking then before it closed. Since this is a leather I am wondering if this might be the same thing...
