I need to replace my lighting on my 75g tank, 48x18x20. I would really like to stay below $200(rather my wife would really like to keep me below that) and don't mind putting a retro kit together. MH or T5 just need better then I have and the best I can make on this budget. Any help with links would be great.

Another question I have, If i were to go with a MH setup, do i need T5's or VHO's to accompany it and would I only need one on a 48"?

could always try an electic eel in a bowl above the tank. i hear it works good for lighting up christmas trees.
