I got a metal halide fixture without legs and I need to hang it but Idk how to go about hanging it...Ive seen the book shelf bracket method but the studs in my wall are spaced to far for me to use them..any Ideas guys ? Do yiu think the wall would hold the fixture without me drillin into the studs?

What size fixture? How heavy? Is it a drop ceiling, or drywall/something that can be cut into? Any local hardware store or lowes/home depot will have hanging hardware for light fixtures. I wouldn't hang it to drywall because of the risk of it falling into the tank/breaking/shocking your tank/etc.
